Wow!!

So many changes from one week to nine weeks.

And so many more to come....

Two Months

J has changed our lives forever!  We are extremely happy to be his parents.  He is so much fun and each day we see him discover something new.  It is amazing to see the world through his eyes.  We continue to be amazed at what a miracle he is.

Eight Weeks Old

We all went out to dinner together.  Jack enjoyed being with Mom and Dad at Bonefish.  We enjoyed going out together and some shopping.  :)

Seven Weeks Old

The coos, smiles, and babbling are so much fun to see and hear.  Jack is so much fun and a JOY to be around.  We are truly blessed by such a sweet baby.

The other day we got out and set up Jack's swing.  

He loved it so much he thought it was the perfect place for a nap. :)

Rock-A-Bye-Baby

Jack has been sleeping in his crib during nap time.  

Often when I come in to check on him 

he is cooing or looking around BUT not sleeping.

Maybe that is why he sleeps so well at night. :)

Just when I think that he is getting bigger the crib  makes him  look so tiny 

So tired....

How do you know when your full?  

Is it when you feel your clothes getting too tight? 

Or when you feel sick?  

Or do you have self control?

Well Jack has his own built in fuel gage...

Jack's little belly button becomes an OUTIE...

and sticks out because his belly is full.  

Just like a turkey timer.

A few days ago Jack got his first bottle.   

It was very uneventful..no fussing, fighting, coaxing, or tears.

We got the bottle ready.  Matt held him, offered the bottle, and Jack drank it. 

No big deal.

On the Move

Recently when Jack takes a nap or at night

 he occasionally some how 

SCOOTS

up to the top of his bassinet.  

Yes, I know what you are thinking...

"he is still in his bassinet?"

And the answer is yes...

we really enjoy hearing those baby noises at night and being able to check on him

And the scooting is one more thing to check on...

I have taken a hiatus from sewing....

but I am currently working on scrap booking....

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day.  

What a special day!!!  

Jack whispered to Matt about what he wanted to get me.

Matt made sure that Jack was wearing his "I love Mommy" shirt.

Jack and Matt gave me flowers, a bracelet with the Jack's birthstone, and a special breakfast.

Jack is becoming more and more awake and observant.

He enjoys looking at the differences in each room as we walk around throughout the day.
