Birthday Celebration

M's birthday was last Thursday.  J and I had gotten him some new clothes, gift cards, and his favorite health food, Skittles. 

We also had made him chocolate cupcakes. (Mom had helped make them when she was down.)

For dinner we went to one of M's favorite restaurants.  We always enjoy J's company and he was full of smiles for his dad!

Helping Momma

Mom is always looking for some help with the housework. So I decided to be nice and manage how she put on the duvet cover.  I know that Dad likes it a specific way.

During a recent bath, J noticed a handsome friend in the mirror. He couldn't believe his new friend knew all his same tricks.

First Father's Day

J made sure my first Father's Day was a spectacular one (with a little help from K). Here are just a few of the many highlights...

J and K cooked me a delicious breakfast

K and J walked up to Dunkin Doughnuts and let me sleep in.  They also got me my favorite ... a frozen hot chocolate

Grammie and Bops

After Grandma and Grandma the Great left (mere hours) Grammie and Bops arrived.  J enjoyed getting to know them better.

M and I enjoyed a night out together.  We went to the House of Blues, we saw Mat Kearney, Unwed Sailor, and Owl City.  We had fun out on the town while Mom and Grandma enjoyed babysitting J.

Four Generations

We took time to get a photo of four generations.  What a blessing it is to have this picture.

Grandma's pillow

Mom brought down a pillow that was cross-stitched by one of her friends from nursing school when I was born.  She decided that she would take it apart and add J's name and birth date.  She also added some of the material left over from J's bedding and his quilt.

It says: "Cleaning and scrubbing can wait til tomorrow...
For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow...

 I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."

Sewing is something that the Grandmas do in our family.  J's baby quilt from Grandma the Great was a Mickey quilt.  (After all, this is Florida).

J could hardly wait to see Grandma again.  She loves to cuddle, snuggle, and hold him.

He is so lucky.

She also could make him laugh and laugh, especially when she would bat her eyelashes.

Wrapping up

The beginning of June meant the wrapping up of school.  

J and I took several visits up to MP for the end of the year festivities.  We attended the awards ceremony, the fifth grade celebration, team birthdays, and a post planning day.

 J spent the time hanging out with several beautiful women...

Busy, Busy

We have not given up on blogging we have been a little busy.  Life just flies by so be ready for several postings in several hours.  :)  We have to get caught up on the month of June before it is over.  So here we go...
